Different situations provide us the opportunity to stop and reflect on who we are as educators, what we believe in and what we want for our students.

This is what I believe in...

Quality Teaching
  • Evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning to support the individual needs of every student.
  • Collaborative planning and teaching that incorporates an array of strategies, resources and people to optimise the learning experience for students
  • ​Contemporary and innovative teaching practices with effective and meaningful technology integration.
  • Ongoing, timely and specific assessment in the form of self-reflection, peer-feedback and teacher feedback.

Student-Driven Learning
  • Every individual being an active member of a collaborative and diverse community as a leader and learner.
  • ​A holistic approach to learning through leadership, arts, athletics, academics and wellbeing that empowers students to explore their interests and passions.
  • Inquiry-based learning to facilitate student agency as students question, research, make connections, take action and reflect on their process of learning through engaging, relevant, specific and challenging conceptual understanding.
  • Students developing transdisciplinary skills to solve problems through creative and critical thinking.
  • A flexible learning environment that is safe, supportive and promotes growth mindset, grit and resilience.

Positive Approaches to Leading
  • Every moment is an opportunity for leadership.
